Q: How long does it take to form an International Business Company?

A: Once we receive your due diligence information and incorporation fees your IBC will be formed within 24 hours.  The time it takes the documentation to reach you will be determined by your location. 
           
Q: Is it necessary for me to travel to Belize in order to form an IBC?

A: No, Compass Group Corporate Services Limited will form the IBC on your behalf.  We will take care of all filings at the IBC Registry and act as your Registered Agent in Belize.  While it is not imperative that you travel to Belize in order to form your IBC we welcome you to visit our offices in Belize City for all of your corporate needs.

Q: Will my personal information with regards to my IBC be accessible through a public database in Belize?

A: No, all information concerning the shareholders and directors of a Belizean IBC are strictly confidential.  This information is not filed with the IBC Registry and all personal details are only contained in the files of the respective Registered Agent.  The Laws of Belize contain serious penalties for any provider who releases information concerning the beneficial owners without proper authorization.

Q: Is it possible to get a corporate bank account for my IBC?

A: Yes, we would be happy to assist you with the opening of a corporate bank account for your IBC.  There are several offshore banks in Belize, or if you wish we can assist you in setting up an account for your IBC at a financial institution outside of Belize.  We can also assist with the opening of a brokerage account for your IBC that will allow you to trade stocks on international stock exchanges.

Q: After incorporation how much does it cost to maintain my IBC on an annual basis?

A: Each year on January 1st your IBC will need to be kept in good order by paying US$600.00.  This fee includes Government License Fees as well as Registered Agent/Office fees.  The IBC Registry does assess late fees if Annual Government License Fees are not paid by July 31st.
